Buy High Heel Shoes Wisely

High heel shoes are really chic, and now that they come in all sorts of designs, colors and yes, even prices, there is just no stopping the modern chick from purchasing  a pair of her choice. However, we all know that although high heel shoes look very good in most women, this doesn’t mean that you can just pick any style and squeeze into sizes just because they are pretty. Think of your ease and comfort too. Buy high heels wisely with this quick guide.

  1. Buy the Right Size.

Quit fooling yourself in buying a smaller one or a bigger one just because it’s on sale and because it’s the only ones left in stock. There are only two possibilities here: it fits or it doesn’t. If it doesn’t ditch it. You will hurt your feet if it’s too small and if you get a size that’s too big for you, you have just signed yourself up for an accident risks feature.

  2. If you go from totally not wearing heels to wearing heels all the time (a new job? Going back to law school?) try to start with the more “gentle” high heels, like wedges, kitten heels and then move on to comfy pumps. During your first days, remember to take it off as soon as it starts to hurt. You’ll get used to it soon and it won’t hurt as much.
  3. Comfort is king.

Remember, no matter how good they look, if they’re not comfortable then they will not work for you. However, if you really need stilettos for an occasion, or a 3-inch pair of black suede pumps for a business meeting, buy other “comfort paraphernalia” along with your chosen pair of high heel shoes. For example, there’s sandpaper to rough up the area where your soles usually slide, gel pads for your feet’s soles and heel inserts to help lessen the chafing at the back of your shoes.

  4. Try it on.

Give it a test walk and be truly honest with yourself with how it feels when you actually wear it.

  5. Think budget (if applicable).

    No explanation needed.

Those are the quick tips to buying heels. Now you won’t go shoe shopping just having excitement in your mind! Shopping also entails Science, you know? And ain’t that good to know!
